Q: What is DND?

DND stands for Do-Not-Disturb. It is a service introduced by the Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) that allows mobile subscribers to opt out of marketing and promotional messages, including bulk SMS. Therefore, mobile numbers on the DND list cannot receive bulk SMS through the regular route.
To deliver messages to DND numbers, we utilize our Hosted SIMs. We first attempt delivery using the regular route for all numbers and monitor those that are rejected due to DND. Depending on the option you chose under the DND Management section when sending the message, we either refund or resend to the DND numbers.
Please note that the Sender ID will be changed only for DND numbers.
To check your DND status (for all networks in Nigeria), text 'STATUS' to '2442'.
To opt out of DND:

On MTN, text 'ALLOW' to '2442'
On GLO, text 'CANCEL' to '2442'
On Etisalat, text 'START' to '2442'
On Airtel, text 'ALLOW' to '2442'

Q: Who pays for failed Bulk SMS Messages?

You are responsible for paying for failed messages, meaning messages that were not delivered to numbers in your destination list or database.
There are two reasons for this:
The networks charge us for all message submissions, except for rejected messages sent to DND active numbers through the regular route. For these, we either refund you or resend via our Hosted SIM, depending on your choice. We use additional resources to handle failed messages by attempting to resend them before reporting them as failed.

Q: Are there any other costs involved when using ReliableSmsng?

No, there are no additional costs when using ReliableSmsng. Our service operates on a prepaid basis. You purchase Bulk SMS credit bundles and use them as needed. There are no monthly fees, setup fees, or contract fees involved with our Bulk SMS service.

Q: Do ReliableSmsng's credits expire?

ReliableSmsng's SMS credits do NOT expire. Your SMS credits will remain available in your ReliableSmsng account for as long as you need them.
